backup writers needed!

Remember the 2007 sheppard/weir ficathon? Remember how there were still a few stories that needed to be written? Well, if you can help out by writing one of the below sets of prompts, that would not only be fantastic, but also help pave the way for the 2009 ficathon! Yay!

Note:

1. You do not need to "claim" a prompt to write for it. Prompts will only be removed from this list once a recipient has received at least one story.
2. If a prompt has been removed but you are still writing -- or have just finished writing -- a story for it, please feel free to still post it! These recipients have waited a long time for their stories and are certainly deserving of getting an extra fic (or two).
3. Stories should be written as soon as possible. The list of remaining prompts will be reposted to the community until all recipients have received at least one story.
4. You do not need to have participated in the ficathon before now to write a story for one of these prompts.

1. thunderstorm, hands-in-hair, "this is not the end"
2. marriage proposal, elizabeth-with-a-gun, dancing to no music

1. fire or a blackout, something unspoken, Teyla/Sheppard friendship
2. a long mission, some use of "the road not taken," happy ending ("happy ever after" not required).
Spoilers: No spoilers for anything unaired in the US.

phrenitis:
1. "'tis one thing to be tempted, another thing to fall"
2. "forever and a day"
Spoilers: Okay.

caroly_214:
1. homesickness by either John or Elizabeth (or both) during their first year on Atlantis, maybe because of a holiday
2. Cary Grant, dancing, dessert, and the balcony
Spoilers: preferably end of season 3, but I'm spoiled for most of season 4 (hence, why I'm not watching it), so that's probably ok

hariboo_smirks:
1. ust, au, angst, romance, action, some team
2. mission based, action, drama, established relationship

1. Sheppard and Weir are negotiating. On what? Their romantic relationship.
2. The Atlantis expedition comes across another lab...

Spoilers: Nothing after First Strike.

1. There are many fics where John is sent back to Earth what about Elizabeth? Angst. Lots of angst.
2. A moment where John has to show his love for Elizabeth despite the fact that there are people around that he doesn't want to share this information with.

Well... *wavers* I usually don't like to start a new 'thon until all prompts from the previous 'thon have been answered. It just seems unfair to the previous participants, you know?

I know, it's kind of like a catch-22. And I agree that writers may want "new" inspiration, but then I think about the recipients, and how they were promised a story of their choosing (and those requests are what they chose...). It's a tough situation. :(

Can I make a mean suggestion? It looks to me like two of the people on the list didn't write their stories (at least, according to the master list, neither [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], nor [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] turned in a fic). Can I suggest that their names be removed from the list of people needing stories written for them, since they didn't turn in stories themselves?

Obviously, the final decision is yours, as you're the mod! I'm just throwing my two cents in.

Yeah -- if everything else gets covered, and those two are the only ones left, they may just be removed. I haven't fully decided yet.
