I don’t usually write things and leave them on my Hard drive for long - I tend to re-read them later and decide that I hate them. It happened here, too, so many thanks to the beautiful [livejournal.com profile] valeria_sg_1 for the beta and endless supply of encouragement.

You’ve already won me over, in spite of me
And don’t be alarmed if I fall, head over feet
And don’t be surprised if I love you, for all that you are
I couldn’t help it,
It’s all your fault

You treat me like I’m a princess

Have to say, you know I'm a fan of your writing but this is quite possibly the best thing you've ever written, IMHO. *grin* Wonderful.

WOW! *is speechless*

That was wonderful, but oh so sad. You broke my heart into million little pieces. I totally heart your AU John and Beth, you can't leave it there. And OMG our Liz & John... Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! I wish there was more, because it's brilliant and so touching. Beautifully written!

I read this last night and ADORED it. Incredible, incredible, incredible work you've done here. You just blew me away. Really, really cool. I love that she wants to go back to that alternate reality but she liked it so much, and things were different in a good way. And then she's torn between the two...now that she's pregnant. Also, poor Beth! I love that you put in that in an alternate universe, people would have really crazy alternate jobs as well as different nicknames, or just names in general. Ronon and Teyla were both from Earth! Really cool. I'm putting this in my memories. I just saw the link for this again at sga_newsletter, but I actually originally got your link from john_elizabeth. Please, please keep writing stories.

Loved this story. Nicely done characterizations, good pacing. What a nice treat to read after a long day at work. Hope you will consider writing a sequel. I would love to know what happens next to both couples. BTW, I discovered the story through the John-Elizabeth ship LJ, as well.

Aaaaaargh!!!

I wasn't going to read it. I wasn't. For one, I was ASLEEP practically when I leaned over from bed and clicked "refresh" one last time. For two, I looked at the summary and was all "eh, random pr0n, it'll keep." And then I was all "OH MY GOD ALANIS MORISETTE WTF" and started having these twitchy flashbacks to high school and many many many other fanfics (mostly bad) including one of mine (very bad) from the late nineties with that song songficced in there... and I was totally not going to read it. Really.

And then I CLICKED THE LINK LIKE A FOOL.

AND STAYED UP FOR LIKE EVER READING YOUR TOTALLY AWESOME STORY.

Like, dude! I totally kept expecting this big letdown where someone broke into song at which point I could just give up and go to sleep, and it didn't happen, and was just crazily rentlessly good. I love eeeet. I've been thinking about it all day, because your AU John is so totally fan-tas-tic and such a tragic bitter romance dude, and it's so perfect. The way you twisted everything is so much fun. So much! But really, the emotional power of this was just unexpected and great.

And the ending... see, I know that was the challenge, and the weird thing is, the story doesn't need it. It was almost like a whole other story. I might even have liked it better without the surprisebaby ending (and I'm so glad you left the challenge prompts until the end to show us, thanks!).

But guh, I love your AU. Love it. Really, just love your AU John, and it's ALL YOUR FAULT that I am going to write sekrit fanfic about him now, because he's a fabulous character in the Tragic 19th Century Novel sense. I'm totally wowed by this story, and the complexity and depth you've managed to give your AU characters (even those we don't see much of, like Simon) in so little time. Rock on. *cheers*

You're welcome.

It’s me again. Sorry! *grins* I actually wanted to write you a more detailed feedback earlier, but I hadn’t time. Okay, where do I begin?! *scratches head*
First I’m still thinking about the whole story and your characters, I even discussed it with [livejournal.com profile] jr_moon, because I was soooooo touched by it. The emotional factor in that story is LIKE THAT BIG, because I nearly cried (and I never cry :P) at the beginning, when your AU John wanted to go out with our Elizabeth, because I knew (at least I thought so :P) why he wanted it.
And OMG, there are so many twists and things that just surprise you, when you think about further. I really love the fact, that when you read it again, you discover so much depth and hidden emotions. Your AU John is truly brilliant as well as your Beth, because ZOMG you love them both in an instant and you can understand, why they act so and so. But at the same time, they are still a mystery. Wonderful characterization!
Furthermore I think this story is completely sad, even though at the same time you ended both time lines happy in a way. But because this story is so tricky and emotional it’s just not happy. Every single person is hurt in a vein and I LOVE THAT FACT. *gggg* But I do love happy endings, I need them. :P
Your whole AU world has so much potential, true brilliance.
Sorry for my rambling, but I just wanted to let you know that I really, really, really love this story. Awesome!
